Type your answer as a mathematical expression and watch it typeset live. When it looks right, hit Submit. CalcForge checks whether your answer is mathematically equivalent to the correct one, so 1/2 and 0.5 both count.

A symbolic math engine (SymPy) compares your answer to the reference. It is never a string match, so any correct form of the answer is accepted.

Reveal a hint (each one costs 2 XP off the solve) or open the step-by-step solution. Viewing the solution forfeits points for that attempt, so it is always your choice.

Three tools: Skip (pass a problem without breaking your streak), Super Hint (reveal the first step with no XP penalty), and Graph Overlay (see the answer graph before solving). Free accounts get a combined 3 uses a day; Premium is unlimited.

Free accounts get 5 hints a week; Premium is unlimited. Each hint used on a problem costs 2 XP off that solve, so hints are a trade, not a cheat.

Solve at least one problem per day and your streak grows. Missing a day resets it. Skip passes the problem without breaking your streak.

Correct solves earn points scaled to difficulty. Hints deduct 2 XP each from the solve; submitting a wrong answer has no penalty, so guessing is always safe.

In line with COPPA, accounts for children under 13 are only activated after a parent or guardian confirms by email. No data is collected before that approval.

Yes. The Classroom page generates a join code. When students join, their scores appear on a shared leaderboard so the class can practice together.
